Summer Camp Manager

Location: Outdoor Education Camp, Portola, CA

The Summer Camp Manager (SCM) to leads the planning, development, and delivery of summer and specialty camp programs at our Outdoor Education Camp in Portola, California. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced youth camp professional who is highly organized, collaborative, and passionate about creating meaningful outdoor learning experiences for children and teens.

The SCM oversees summer camp programming, including program development, staffing, counselor supervision and evaluation, and day-to-day camp operations. Throughout the year, the SCM focuses on planning, improving, and preparing for summer and specialty programs, while also supporting Sierra Nevada Journeys’ Overnight Outdoor Learning and Community Group programs. During the summer, the SCM helps create a balanced camp experience that combines science-based learning, outdoor exploration, recreation, and traditional summer camp fun.
